Annie Duke finishes second
May 12, 2009
We all know that Annie Duke can play some poker, but how is she in the business world? This season on The Apprentice, Annie went head to head with some other celebrities who tried to impress Mr. Trump. Watching some of the episodes, it was clear that Annie was someone who could take her gambling skills and bring them into the board room. It was clear that she could read others with pretty good accuracy, and showed a natural knack for leadership.
Now on the flip side of that, she seemed to be a little too into herself at times. Constantly telling anyone who would listen just how great Annie was. But the real interesting part of the season was her going up against Joan and Melissa Rivers. While the daughter was nothing more than her moms protégé, it seemed like Trump was all about Joan from the get go. While never seeming to do too much, Trump constantly praised Rivers for being tremendous and marvelous and any other positive work he could think of. For that reason, we called the winner of this season early as it was clear who it was going to be, no matter how well anyone else did. Rivers was nasty, vulgar, and downright inappropriate when it came to attacking Duke in front of others. She once even called Annie “Hitler”.
Obviously the top dog on the show, Annie Duke was the clear winner and really deserved to be named the “Celebrity Apprentice” in front of national television.
